This new type of housing block is made withPrefabricated Residential 'Shell' Units stacked one above the other vertically in a seemingly random, yet organized way... One could call it in a Staccato rhythm. Each Housing Shell Unit is a variation on the historical American shotgun house, accessed from one side. The Units occupy the full width of the building. This housing block is a disruptive urban typology, an unstable urban topography above the street, geared toward a present that demands a combination of prefabrication and mass customization.
