Los Angeles Times front page features Maywood Center for Enriched Studies for which Hraztan Zeitlian was Principal, Design Leader at DLR: designed to provide multiple spaces that facilitate student performances and public speaking, outdoor amphitheaters, zocalos, stages and a Library lifted above the ground, the focal point of the campus.





The LiCCo project designed by Hraztan Zeitlian with Struere won GOOD DESIGN GREEN Award from the Chicago Athenaeum and the European Center for Architecture Art Design. Prefabricated Residential Units in the form of modified shipping containers allow the residents to reach out to the exteriors and the views.


Designed by Hraztan Zeitlian with Struere, the LiCCO project won a Southern California Development Forum Design Award. A sustainable solution to the huge need for Low Income Housing. This prototype project makes use of Shipping Containers, provides for speedy, cost effective construction with Low Environmental Impact: The containers will be fitted off-site, transported and erected using Booms. The projects unique design facilitates the emergence of an Open Architecture that privileges collective spaces of socialization: open air corridors, shared balconies, community playgrounds on multiple levels. The Goal is nothing less than to create a new way of building community through interactivity and sustainability

SBCC Humanities Building receives CCFC Design Award

Santa Barbara City College Humanities Building received an Award of Excellence in the Modernization category by the Community College Facility Coalition (CCFC). The 45,762 SF structure deploys classes in fine art, computer programming and film/television production. The award was presented at the CCFCs 23rd Annual Conference/Professional Design Awards ceremony in Sacramento. Hraztan Zeitlian was Principal, Design Leader for this project at DLR.

Burbank Water and Power EcoCampus receives an American Architecture Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum

Burbank Water and Power EcoCampus received an American Architecture Award from the Chicago Athenaeum (submitted by Ahbe’ Landscape Architects). Hraztan Zeitlian directed the design of the SOLAR GATEWAY and the Architectural Demonstration Photovoltaic Farm for the EcoCampus while VP of Design at Leo A Daly.
